The MeetingHouse Church
Meetinghouse FAQ's

You’re a large part of why we started The Meetinghouse Church. Many people think they have to get their "religious" act together before they go to church. Unfortunately people in the church have often made those outside the church feel this way. Jesus came not to call the righteous but sinners. What he means is that no one can make themselves presentable before God. We can’t clean ourselves up. It’s often been said, "You don't have to get clean before you come take a bath." So if you’ve never gone to church before, don’t worry about getting things together before you come. We’re here to love God, love others, and to know what it means to follow Jesus.

We hope Meetinghouse groups are a comfortable and safe place for those who are curious about God but who have never felt comfortable in church.  Our groups unashamedly rejoice in the gospel, try to understand what the Bible means in contemporary culture, and pray together. But we want our home groups to be a place where you can pursue the story of Scripture, learn who Jesus claimed to be, and what he wants for you.  Its okay if you don't have it all figured out yet.  We are far from having the details of life figured out. Following Jesus is not about having our act together. It's about finding out what God has in store for you in the person of Jesus.
